A quick plug for anyone interested in attending the 2018 Western Society of Weed Science Conference in a couple weeks.
This year the conference location has rotated back to California and will be held at the Hyatt Regency Orange County (in Garden Grove, CA). Meeting dates are March 12-15, 2018.

The WSWS organizes the conference into five major projects:
- Weeds of Agronomic Crops
- Weeds of Horticultural Crops
- Weeds of Range and Natural Areas
- Teaching and Technology Transfer
- Basic Biology and Ecology
In addition to the research posters (more than 50) and presentations (more than 75), this Society also has at least on "Discussion Session" for each of those projects which are often quite interesting (and sometimes contentious!).
