UC Weed Science Farm Advisor position in San Joaquin Valley

Nov 14, 2022

Great opportunity to join the UC cooperative extension as a weed science farm advisor!

In addition to the Orchard Systems and Weed Ecology Advisor position in Colusa County posted last month (and open until November 30th) (link HERE), UC ANR just posted another Weed Ecology position to be headquartered in Tulare County.

The San Joaquin Valley position is a "Weed Ecology and Management Advisor" with the assignment to develop an innovative extension education and applied research program to address issues related to weed management for cropping systems and non-crop settings of the southern San Joaquin Valley, including Fresno, Kings, and Tulare counties.

I've attached the position vacancy announcement below this post and you can directly link to the RECRUIT site at https://recruit.ucanr.edu/JPF00163  (or you can search for position #22-45). or this link: https://ucanr.edu/About/Jobs/?jobnum=2349

Closing date is December 12, 2022.

We've had a few key retirements from the UC weed science group in that region in recent years and this is a great opportunity for a weed scientist to jump in and develop a key program for the area and serve as a key link among crop-focused advisors, campus-based specialists, and  the agricultural industry in California.
