Pomology

The Pomology Program extends useful, technical, and economic research-based information to fruit and nut producers in California. Farm Advisors provide local subject matter leadership and expertise in assigned areas to determine and evaluate grower and processor problems. Major issues include improvement of production practices, resource management, pest management, food safety, worker safety, post harvest handling, alternative crops, enterprise and market analysis, and agricultural education of the public.

Clebson Goncalves is the new Diversified Agriculture Farm Adviser for Lake and Mendocino counties. As a Diversified Agriculture Farm Adviser Clebson's responsibilities include crops such as pears, walnuts, olives, apples, all other fruit tree and nut crops (except viticulture), row crops and turf.
