4-H Shooting Sports Workshop

Rifle Discipline

Saturday, November 9, 2019 – 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Sunday, November 10, 2019 – 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

 

This 4-H shooting sports workshop will certify adult volunteers as rifle trainers who can lead a rifle project at the club level or serve as county trainers to certify other leaders. The classroom portion of the training will occur at the Fort Bragg Fire Department at 141 North Main Street in Fort Bragg, CA. The hands-on portion of this training will occur at a nearby outdoor facility, which will be provided to registered participants. Participants must attend both days of training to receive certification. Teen leaders are invited but must attend with an adult, or have a certified shooting sports adult leader they will be helping back in their home county. To register, please complete and mail the “CA 4-H Shooting Sports Training Request and Registration Form” available at http://4h.ucanr.edu/files/4785.pdf, a check for $35 to Mendocino County 4-H, and appropriate adult or youth 4-H medical release forms to UCCE, 890 North Bush Street, Ukiah, CA  95482. Registration is due Monday November 4, 2019. 4-H Shooting Sports Workshop

Archery Project

November 30 and December 1, 2019


There will be a workshop to certify 4H Adult Volunteers as Shooting Sports Leaders in the Shooting Sports discipline of “Archery,” presented in Mendocino County on the weekend of November 30 and December 1, 2019. You must attend both days to be certified.
This class will be Saturday Nov 30th, 9 AM –5 PM, and Sunday, Dec 1st, 9 AM - 2 PM, at the Potter Valley Tribe Property, 21801 North Highway One, Fort Bragg, CA, in Mendocino County. This class is being hosted by Mendocino County 4-H. You must become a 4-H leader or member and attend both days to receive certification to teach the specific shooting sport at the project, club and camp levels. The course will include a PowerPoint lecture, review of equipment, practice shooting and teaching, and a written test. Bring your own lunch each day.
Junior and teen leaders are invited but must attend with an adult or have a certified Shooting sports adult leader they will be helping back home.
